thank you so much everyone for all your well wishes and congratulations's - i couldn't wipe the grin off my face all day. it still lingers today.
today's photo is my submission to macro mania [the weekly theme based macro (closeup) photo assignment]. this week's theme is 'textures and or patterns' and my submission was taken of the peeling bark [for want of a better word] of some sort of a palm tree.

    Very soft and almost fragile. Beautifully composed. Works very nicely in those sepia tones too.
