#791 | the smaller red bar | | [2]

this photo was taken was in the upstairs of a bar the size of a small pantry positioned up a flight of impossibly steep stairs. it was decorated with an extravagant variety of lamps, gold-plated trinkets and strange giant multicoloured plastic bunches of grapes and was clad entirely in red velvet. it was so tiny that there was no choice but to befriend the fellow occupants - five entheusiastic japanese and two austrians. it was a tight squeeze and i sat perched at the top of the vertiginously beckoning stairs. it was such a wierdly decorated bar that i thought i would never see it's like again. until the next bar we went to (which i think was actually called 'red bar' or possibly 'chandelier bar') was decorated in exactly the same manner.
