today's pentych (if that's (a) a word and (b) what you can call five photos posted together in a photoblog but not all posted on the same page!?) is of nighttime photos shot on the streets of tokyo.

there were indeed lots of lights (many to highlight walk-in businesses like restaurants on higher floors - something that doesn't really happen in ireland) but there were less of the roaring crowds i had expected from my (small) knowledge of tokyo.

this meant that everytime i did see a crowd of any description i'd attempt to take a photo, causing aonghus to muse that the whole western perception of a crowded tokyo is one perpetuated by photographers searching for that pre-concieved image of a busy city.
