this clematis is very obediently climbing across the meshed roof of the bothán in my parents' back garden (where all these last few photos were taken). i'm dying to plant some rampant (shade loving) climbers in our back yard, but the plan is to get some raised beds built in, and there's no point in starting any climbers climbing until the dirty work is done. hopefully that'll happen before the end of the growing season - but it's up to us to get moving on it!
