after all the talk of the soon-to-be-gone house, i had a rummage around this morning to see if there were any photos of the outside of it on my computer. i know i'd taken some about four years ago when i was revamping the restaurant website and i just about found them sitting in a dusty folder.
the five top floor windows are those of the spacious living-dining-sitting-kitchen room. my old bedroom window is concealed by shadows below them on the right.
this was taken with a film camera on a frosty evening, possibly in oct/nov 2000. i was thinking it might do for this weeks photo friday challenge - 'analog' - but i have a batch of photos due back from the processors today and if they turn out ok, i'd much rather post one [or more] of them. i don't hold out much hope of them being great 'cause i'm really not used to shooting film.
sure, we'll see tomorrow.

That is really a beautiful photo, the composition in perfect for me, and that light… Great!

I like the effect of the wires and the shadows of the wires – it gives the impression of the house being caught in a spider’s web.

i really like the soft focus and the shadows. and the tilt of the building seems appropriate somehow…
