the little shell must've been resting on the ground and when the shoots started to grow they brought it up with them. i hope there's no startled snail inside.
i must remember to check it's progress over the next couple of days (if the rain ever stops).

    That’s a nice photo. I hope that leaf isn’t sticking anywhere too painful for the snail.

    Lovely photo! I had a snail in my back garden a couple of months ago when I ‘trying’ to learn how to use my camera and he/she had a little baby snail, practically overnight.
    It was humbling to watch to watch the larva grow into a proto-snail and I stayed up all night to watch it. I wish I had been a better photographer to catch the moment.
    Keep watching! You never know what’ll happen.

    extrordinary! how often does one see something like this? i never have, but if i did, i would remember the moment forever… nature never ceases to amaze. you document it beautifully thru your photography.
