this is the forecourt of the bank of ireland buildings on college green - which apparently used to be the irish houses of parliament!
on an altogether unrelated note, inspired by newbrowne's observations about the number of women shortlisted in the 'best personal blog' category of the blog awards, i got curious as to the male/female ratio across the rest of the shortlist and began to investigate, in the course which, i rounded up some other pieces of information about the 2007 shortlistees which i put together in this doc ».
the most surprising thing, which didn't immediately jump out at me when i first saw the shortlist, is the number of blogs that are shortlisted in more than one category - 64%! (though that did make my life easier when going through the list of websites trying to figure out if the people behind them were male or female - which i've probably gotten wrong in some cases (is there still a question about twentymajor's gender?))

Have you had a look at the Dublin City Hall? Now thats an amazing building for takeing pics in, sure its smaller then most of the others but it sure does make up for it in its design.
