#992 | bolders beach penguins | | [3]

there's the coolest little beach about an hours drive outside cape town that's littered with giant bolders (good for scrambling over or swimming under) and is home to a colony of adorably untimid penguins.
we dropped by one evening for a swim as the tide was full in and the penguins began wandering about to settle down for the night. they had no fear of waddling and swimming amongst us to the point that you nearly started to forget they were there.
i've been stalling on posting any photos of them because i took absolutely millions and i wanted to go through them all and pick out the one or two that i liked best. and it's taken until now to do that.

What a great juxtaposition of the penquins and the boys.

The kids look so at ease with the penguins about. I would be ‘look, penguins!!! and not behind a barrier’. As commented on another photo, more penguin shots 🙂

thanks guys. yeah – i love the way the kids are looking the other way, though in fairness, there was probably another penguin in that direction too!
